Hoang Thai was contracted by Nghi Son Refinery Petrochemical LLC (NSRP) to undertake the Annual Hydrographic Survey for access channel, turning basin and berth frontage area. The service was started on 10th August 2021 and lasted for 10 days.
NSRP channel is one of the biggest channel in the north of Vietnam was designed for vessels 40,000 DWT. The total length of channel is 6,775 kilometers, the width of 150 meters and bottom depth of 14.8 meters. In 2020, NSRP received nearly 1,100 vessels carrying gasoline, oil, chemicals, and petroleum products.
The survey included the access channel are is 274 hectares along with the turning basin and berth frontage area are 72.5 hectares. Hoang Thai utilized Multibeam echosounder to define and map the seabed with the accuracy is less than ± 0,1 meters.
The final survey report was delivered to Vietnam Maritime Safety North (VMS-North) for issuing Notice to Mariners 2021, facilitate the safe navigation of vessels in the region.
