Successfully Completed Inspection & Cleaning for Seawater Intake during NSRP’s First Turnaround

HTmarine is pleased to announce the successful completion of the Inspection & Cleaning for Seawater Intake project at Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical (NSRP). This milestone is a part of The First Major Maintenance (Turnaround) of NSRP.

As a subcontractor of the PTSC Thanh Hoa – Yuhan Tech consortium (the GMC contractor in Area 4), HTmarine executed the project with utmost dedication and efficiency.

The project, involving the inspection and cleaning of the Seawater Intake System, took place from September 05 to September 21, 2023. This system plays a critical role in providing seawater for cooling industrial processes and supporting various plant operations.

Key Highlights of the Project:

– Comprehensive Inspection: Our team conducted an inspection of the entire Seawater Intake System, including the intake basin, trash rack & band screen, and sea water pump basin.

– Efficient Cleaning: Marine growth were effectively removed using a combination of manual cleaning tools and high-pressure water jets, then we removed the mud from the basin using an Airlift (similar to a vacuum ejector with a hose).

– Anode Inspection: A thorough inspection of the anodes within the sea water inlet basin was carried out to ensure optimal functionality.

– Final Inspection: Following the cleaning process, a final inspection of the seawater intake basin was conducted to ensure the successful removal of all marine growth, accumulated mud. A comprehensive inspection report will be provided to NSRP upon project completion.

HTmarine takes pride in completing this project ahead of schedule while maintaining a focus on safety and quality, contributing to the timely restarting of NSRP’s operations.
