From November 26 to December 5, 2023, HTmarine participated in the Inline Inspection (ILI) project for Nghi Son Refinery (NSRP). As a local subcontractor, HTmarine provided logistic services and technical support for the consortium of H. ROSEN Engineering (M) Sdn. Bhd and Nam Tien Thinh Trading and Manufacture Company (ROSEN-NTT).
ROSEN-NTT performed cleaning, gauging, geometry inspection, and MFL inspection on the NSRP’s Crude Oil Pipeline with a diameter of 48″ and a length of 72km. The project’s objective was to obtain data on the pipeline condition and more specifically the detection, sizing and location of flaws and defects within the pipe wall. The gathered inspection data will be used to analyze the integrity of the pipeline.
The project operated in a narrow schedule, occurring between the unloading of two Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCC) within a seven-day window. This timeframe underscores the importance of proactive working with NSRP, perfect preparation, utmost accuracy and safety in project execution. HTmarine, with its in-depth familiarity with NSRP’s procedures and facilities, has played an important role in ensuring the project’s progress.
The collaboration highlights not only ROSEN’s technological expertise but also HTmarine’s involvement in organizing the project’s timeline. Working together, we strive to ensure the success of the project, with the integrating of global capability and local efficiency.
